1. Online consultation. A full examination with a Cambridge neck pain specialist either by phone or video call, Its purpose is to use our many years of experience to rule out possible serious pathology such as cancer or inflammatory conditions and discuss what further investigations, if any, may be necessary.
2. Order MRI scans and blood tests if required. Review these with you afterwards and discuss ongoing treatment options which usually include gentle effective neck physio and exercises
3. Prescribe exercises to help alleviate the problem
4. If necessary refer you to a treatment centre near to you for hands-on treatment or a further face-to- face consultation
